Mindful of Mindfulness

Pay attention to this book. Christopher Dines came from a background that was anything but mindful. He was a house DJ, working in clubs across the planet. His life was noisy and distracted—in every possible way. If he was mindful at all it was to consider himself and his next drink or his next drug or his next party. He remembers and shares his story with all who read his book.

But that isn't his message. His message is one of mindfulness that leads to peace and joy. Yep, a former DJ who talks about peace and joy and teaches others how to do mindfulness meditation. How cool is that?

Mindfulness. Living fully in the moment. Being aware of what's happening within you and around you. That's who Christopher Dines is now. So if you think that because he's teaching mindfulness meditation, he has nothing in common with you and can't understand where you are and what you need, think again. He knows. He understands.

But you don't have to be in trouble of any kind to like this book. It is more about why than how to be mindful. It is more about why than how to meditate. But if you get the why it will be much easier to get the how. Christopher doesn't use the book to preach at you but to give you a tool that you can use to help yourself.
