About the Author

Murray Jackson was a psychoanalyst with the British Institute of Psychoanalysis. He is well known as a teacher and writer who has applied psychoanalytic understanding to adults suffering from psychotic states. In 1994 he was given the International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis (ISPS) Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Psychotherapy of Schizophrenia. He died in 2011.

Jeanne Magagna is a child, adult and family psychotherapist. She was formerly Head of Psychotherapy Services at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and for many years she headed the child psychotherapy training at Centro Studi Martha Harris in Florence and Venice, Italy. She teaches and publishes internationally.

This book is easy to read because it is kind of short. I am neither a psychologist or psychiatrist so I do not know if all information here is correct but this book gives details that are easy to understand. Now, I am curious to read more about personality disorders. I have a few friends who are good in this topic so I think this is a perfect gift for them. I have a zero knowledge about personality disorder but I am happy that I have learnt something new today about how borderline personality disorder can be treated. Those people who have this condition or those who know anyone in family or circle of friends, they must read it. The key to help them is having a good knowledge on how to deal with them. Above all, show love to them is a must. Spread love by reading and sharing this book! In overall, it is a book that deserves to be shared and read.

A complete guide to borderline personality

In many occasions borderline personality is misdiagnosed or misunderstood. There are just too many factors to consider but here are a few: negative self image, abandonment issues, and impulsive disorder. In a lot of cases borderline personality arises form childhood issues. This is not by any means surprising. Since individuals with the most difficult childhoods grow up to be the most diverse and troubled adults. Interestingly enough, borderline personalities are more often found in women as opposed to men. Borderline personality seems to affect men and women differently. In either case, this disease is destructive and must be controlled if not eradicated all together.

Improve your Borderline Personality Disorder

I really enjoyed this book. This book describes in detail about the Borderline personality disorder and its signs and symptoms. The treatment methods of this serious illness are also well described in this book. . The book is an easy read. I've read several informative books on this and similar subjects but this is a great book for this purpose. I really appreciate how clearly the author discusses the personality disorder. This book is highly recommended for who suffer from this serious mental illness (BPD). Special thanks to the author.

Great Read Go Out And Make A Change

The kids grew up and moved out of the house I became to old for planning weddings and so there I was six months ago stymied about where I was going in life and what was the purpose. I have been on this journey of self discovery and have learned only one thing will change and that is if you stay open to the possibilities.

I am always on the look out for a story to take me in the new direction of discover and this book was one of those things. Coinky Dink, I don't know but I'm glad I picked it up. This book helps you to explore the subtext if you will of your goal and new direction. Many times if you can't see where the road is going to take you, there is hesitation because of the self doubt.

My interpretation of this book was to remove the self doubt and the scar tissue of the past on an emotional and thought perception level. It's a little bit more complex than change the thought, change the pattern but in my lay person terms that's what I would call it. I liked that it was not preachy or evangelical in tone or content.

It's a practical no nonsense approach for me of doing the last half better and more self fulfilling than the first half. At least that is what I'm taking from the book. You will no doubt take something else, but trust me you get to bring something home from the party. Really good read and good thoughts afterwards like a well seasoned snifter of cognac the flavor remains.

Very helpful read!

This book was a great help to me! Mark has done a great job in developing this formula. I honestly think his approach was very unique to the other self-help books that I've gone through. Lately I've been lost in figuring out what I need to do with my life and future. I used to have a lot of things going on and have been called out by family and friends that I need to focus on one thing and work towards that future. If you're like me, then keeping an interest on one thing can be hard. This book helped me realized what my true calling was and what was really important to me. After going through this book, I was able to discover what I needed to do, and declutter all the unnecessary things in my life.

You remind yourself everyday that there is a purpose in life, and we need to take advantage of this opportunity. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

A Valued Resource, Everything I Was Looking For And More!

I didn't know what to expect when I first came across this and I've gone over a few useless resources on the topic before, but so far this is among the best. You can never be too prepared; especially in these times. So I have been educating myself on getting all the necessary information that is needed for the hardest of times; which I believe everyone should do as well.

I had no problem getting all the info I needed and the author went above in beyond with what I was looking for. Now I am completely sure that I won't ever be forced into a position that I don't have control of.

I would get this if you are like me and don't want to ever lose what you have worked so hard to get or even if you are just looking for valuable knowledge that will aid you in everyday life; because this book with teach you a lot of useful skills.

I am thankful I discovered this book and now I know I am confident that I am prepared for the worst!

Just what i needed!

I'm glad I picked this book up. This book helped me dearly as I was getting ready to put together a kit. I can tell you that a lot of people don't do this, but one day, this is the only thing that'll keep you alive. One day, you're going to be thinking that you wished you had picked this book up if something happens... To be honest, you can never be too careful. This book contains a lot of great information, things that you wouldn't have thought about, and it's easy to follow. It might be a pain to put something together now, but you're saving yourself in the long run.

Dr. Christina (Fisanick) Greer is the author of more than 30 non-fiction books and multiple articles about writing. Two-Week Wait is her first book-length memoir. She has been teaching college writing for 20 years. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at California University of Pennsylvania, where she passes on her love of storytelling to future generations of writers and teachers. Christina lives in her home state of West Virginia with her two cats, husband, and son, who was worth every single two-week wait.

Great Story

I loved Christina's journey and story. It was beautifully written and I felt as if I was along for the ride. The only reason I gave three stars was because of the multiple typos I caught. For example, the birth story she says her water broke March 3. I'm hoping it was an oversight in turning the blog into a book, since she's a writing professor.
