Brilliant Insights

Sweet Bird of Youth! I never thought it would come to this, me admiring people because they can bend their knees. Much as I hate to admit it, I've reached the age where I need this book.

As a long-time devotee of Patricia Bacall's yoga techniques, I have learned to "adapt and persevere" despite my injuries. And now along comes "Stay Young with Easy Yoga", the perfect book at the perfect time for me, the perfect extension of everything I have learned from her: Techniques to keep my limbs as supple as the tree that can still bend with the wind...and bend to pick up the damn thing I just dropped.

"Do not go gentle into the good night," Dylan Thomas said. And further on: "Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Ms. Bacall's brilliant insights into maintaining a healthy, supple mind and body have happily taken the pain out of my efforts to follow Mr. Thomas's advice.

Keep this book handy successful, healthy aging

Patricia, you've done it again! With such a glut of yoga books out there, this one distinguishes itself as head and shoulder(stand) above the rest. It not only gives the precise instructions, but the logical reasoning behind the poses makes it so much more appealing to do them, because I now know WHY they are beneficial to me. I appreciate the clarity and thoroughness with which she describes each pose, coupled with ease of comprehension. There were a few things in the book that were surprising to me. For example, I never realized how truly essential it is to drink water to slow the aging process. I plan on keeping this book close at hand for the foreseeable future, if I want my future to be energetic and vital. Thanks for such a great reference.

One of best, most informative books I've read on yoga

I've tried yoga in the past but have never really seen all the benefits. I've been in constant discomfort and just miserable after doing some different workouts. After reading this book, i've seen just the opposite! The book gives you some of the background of yoga and it's many benefits, but it also gives you the practical application as well. I can certainly see now if I practice these things regularly and consistently over the long haul, I will certainly stay young, just as the book suggests .Thanks for the insightful read!
